Terms of service

These terms apply when you use HUNGR at hungr.live or in the HUNGR app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use HUNGR.

HUNGR does not charge anyone to list, reserve or collect food. You must not ask for or accept payment for food shared through the community app.

You must be 18 or over, give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

• Only share food that is safe to eat, correctly described and within its use-by date.
• Declare allergens and ingredients accurately and honestly.
• Collectors should check food before eating it and decide for themselves whether it is suitable.
• Follow our food-safety guidance.

Homemade cooked meals, hot food or high-risk chilled prepared food, food past its use-by date, and food without a clear origin or storage history. These categories are restricted at launch, as set out in our food-safety guidance. We may remove listings that break these rules.

Be respectful. Harassment, discrimination, spam and unsafe behaviour are not allowed. We may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts to keep the community safe. You can report listings and users from within the app.

We never show your exact address publicly. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

HUNGR connects people who share food; we do not prepare, inspect, store or deliver it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the quality or safety of food exchanged between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

HUNGR Pro commercial services for businesses and organisations are covered by separate agreements. No HUNGR Pro subscriptions are being sold at present.

We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions? Contact us.
